Don't be a Couch Potato!

“Sofa-happiness”! That is probably the most harmful and insidious form of paralysis, which can cause the greatest harm to young people.

-Pope Francis

Netflix 'n' chill. World Of Warcraft. Binge watching. These are common ways we pass time. I do it too. Pope Francis warns us to take care - because, little by little, without even realizing it, we start to nod off, to grow drowsy and dull. And before we know it, we are not in control of our life anymore. Something else is demanding our attention, someone else is dictating what guides our morals and ethics. Pope Francis had a lot to say about this (read his whole address using the link below). He reminds us to defend our freedom. To do the hard work of living.

Today's Challenge:

Be media free for a whole hour - maybe longer!

Reflection Questions:

1. How much media is too much media?

2. Who guides your decision making? You or media?

3. How can you take steps to stay in control of your life and defend your freedom?
